WEATHER & SUNDAY SERVICES AT SPC FOR January 25th, 2026
Greetings All, By now, most all of you have heard of the approaching winter storm that is expected to hit the east coast this weekend. While current forecasts appear to be trending positive, we who live around here appreciate how quickly weather can change and conditions vary, even in our region. That being said, preparation is necessary to ensure everyone's safety and peace of mind.
Church leaders are monitoring the weather, but we are prepared to cancel services if things take a turn for the worse. Given that we are celebrating the Causeys' ministry this Sunday, any decision to cancel will not be taken lightly. WE STRONGLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM DRIVING TO THE CHURCH UNDER DANGEROUS CONDITIONS.
Given that the bulk of the storm will not arrive until Saturday evening, this will likely be a last-minute decision. If weather conditions are marginal, please consult our church's Facebook page or church website (www.shallottechurch.org) for any information regarding cancelled services. If there is no message about cancellation posted, then one can assume that Sunday School and Worship will proceed as normal (even though there is no 8:30 service this week.)
